Not only are the houses and streets in the two photos completely different, but there appear to be two homes (one right of center and the other far right in the after pic) at the bottom of the cliff.
One assumes that sliding down a cliff would do significant damage to any home, so why does the caption mention only one home as being "severely damaged"?
I often wonder what caption writers are smoking? Doesn't anyone check this stuff?
Additionally, in the actual article, someone reports that the slide was "400 to 500 yards across the hillside and down 600 or 700 yards to the water". I'm willing to believe that the slide may have stretched over a quarter mile of coast, but based on the approx height of the houses compared to the cliff face, it's hardly more than 60 yards (if that) from cliff top to bottom. Was the witness also on drugs?
